Also on the ranch.
As good a way as any to celebrate National Dog Day.
It was cool, foggy, and strangely quiet on the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve today.
Finally got photos of him. In the past he always managed to be gone before I got my camera. Too bad I have to shoot through a window screen, but...
Second time in a row I drove up to see the elephant seals and got to watch one blowing bubbles.
Took this on my iPhone yesterday and forgot to post it. Would you believe in rained all through San Simeon on our way up the coast?
The closed sections of Highway 1 make a good hiking trail.
Another five miles of Highway i, toward the Cow Creek slide, has been opened to cars. So of course Ella and I had to go.
Blue sky, high 60s, light breeze. This is us coming back in after a great ride.
Between Cambria and Paso Robles.
Just north of San Luis Obispo
...and I weigh tons, so listen.
On a day of misty fog at the coast.
Ever seen an elephant seal blowing bubbles? You have now.
He's not mine, but boy... just being at the ranch when this brand new baby mini arrived...
And still some wildflowers in bloom.
I miss driving up to Big Sur. This is looking north from the Ragged Point Inn, which, to those of us in Cambria, will be the end of the road for quite some time.
It's been a long time since I photographed a Cloud Painter sunrise.
Seals know a lot about relaxation.
A windy but otherwise beautiful day.
