This queen of the night tulip bulb was given to me in honor of my late mom. Every year, like clockwork, it blooms on the anniversary of her passing. To the week, if not to the day.

Ella had to have three teeth extracted during her cleaning yesterday, including a big canine. Jordan is staying very close to her but not terrorizing her the way he usually does in the morning. Which is sweet.

Stuffed wildcat in a tree at Big Sur Lodge. No idea who put him there or how long he'd guarded that spot.
At least, I hope it will be a good rain. Supposed to be several days of it.
